The Walking Dead: No Man's Land mobile video game stars local actor David Morrissey's appearance in his role from the TV Series.

Morrissey's character, Philip Blake, also known more commonly as The Governor, features prominently alongside other fan favourite characters including Rick Grimes, Michonne, Merle Dixon, Glenn Rhee and more.

No Man's Land involves the player building a team of characters that work together to fight off zombies and defend their base.

The turn-based strategy RPG (Role-Playing Game) involves building a camp, gathering supplies and fighting to stay alive by gaining a wide selection of weapons and armour.

The Liverpudlian actor has even made an appearance in Liverpool comic book shop, Forbidden Planet, to participate in a signed photograph charity event which gained a huge attendance. All of the money raised through the signing event In Liverpool City Centre was donated to The Observatory School in the Bidston area of the Liverpool City Region's Borough of Wirral, to pay for a minibus for the educational institute. The school has places for 76 pupils, all of whom experience Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH).

Many of his newer fans knowing him for The Walking Dead, however, his career has spanned multiple decades across TV, film and stage, with the British Film Institute having described him as 'one of the most versatile English actors of his generation'.

David Morrissey played the iconic character that to this day still has a strong following due to his intense performance in the show.

The character is known for his unpredictable actions which can range from concerning and somewhat sinister, to outright violent and brutally barbaric.

The character didn't always have an eye patch, however, that is probably how The Governor is possibly best known. His intense stare never fails to make other characters feel nervous and uncomfortable.

Morrissey's character in the game has a slightly different appearance to portrayal in the show, however, this is mainly down to clothing rather than facial features.

The in-game character has medium length brown hair that combs over to the right side of his head and his signature eye patch covering his right eye.

In the TV series, he is seen wearing a multitude of different outfits whilst in the game he exclusively wears a bluish-grey collar shirt and a steel grey overcoat.

The Governor, which is among legendary status in The Walking Dead fan-base, was added to the game as a new hero to boost the character roster even further, and add a much loved iconic villain to the video game.

The Walking Dead: No Man's Land includes a number of well known characters based on the AMC TV show including Glenn Rhee, Maggie Greene, Michonne, Daryl Dixon, Rick Grimes and The Governor. The player can choose various characters and add them to their team to take on missions and gather supplies to ensure survival.

The game is developed by Finnish company Next Games. It is available on both the Apple App Store and on the Google Play Store for free, however, does contain both adverts and micro-transactions.
