West Tower Situated In The Commercial District Is One Of Liverpool's Tallest Buildings & The Tallest Outside Of Manchester & London

West Tower proudly standing 40-storeys tall during the rain today as the Liverpool Bay Area had a sudden burst of much needed rainfall.

The West Tower skyscraper is positioned on Brook Street, and is part of Liverpool Waterfront in City Centre's The Commercial District neighbourhood. The bustling area comprises of a multitude of high-rise buildings and skyscrapers, with West Tower currently remaining the tallest in the Liverpool City Region at 459ft, or 140 metres.

Fascinatingly, West Tower, which resides in the Liverpool City Region — that is currently the 5th largest city in the UK — is the tallest building in the country outside of Greater London which ranks at the largest city in the UK, and Greater Manchester, which currently sits as the country's 3rd most populous Metro Area.

West Tower took two years to complete construction, with it having started development in 2005 and concluding its construction in 2007. It had an estimated cost of approximately £35,000,000 to build.
