All Saints Multi Academy Trust has welcomed St Margaret’s Church of England Academy into its growing family of schools.

The academy will become the third secondary school in the Trust, alongside The Academy of St Francis of Assisi in Kensington and The Academy of St Nicholas in Garston. All Saints Sixth Form College in Garston and Faith Primary Academy in Everton also form part of All Saints Multi Academy Trust.

This exciting development signals a significant step forward in continuing the delivery of high-quality education and fostering a thriving learning community at St Margaret’s in Aigburth.

Originally founded in Anfield in the 1870s, the school has been serving the Aigburth community for nearly 60 years, with Mr Stephen Brierley at the helm since 2013.

'We look forward to working closely with St Margaret's leadership team and its community to help students reach their full potential.' - Miss Heather Duggan, CEO of All Saints Multi Academy Trust.

The Trust's commitment to providing children with an exceptional education with a focus on Christian values aligns perfectly with the mission and values of St Margaret's.

Speaking about the news, Mr Stephen Brierley, said: 'I am thrilled and delighted that St Margaret’s has joined All Saints Multi Academy Trust – their vision and values are in lockstep with ours. All Saints has an outstandingly strong track record of improving the schools it works with, and I know that the education we provide for our students will improve still further as a result of us joining them.'

All Saints Multi Academy Trust is jointly sponsored by both the Diocese and Archdiocese of Liverpool and is inspired by the ecumenical vision of Bishop David Sheppard and Archbishop Derek Worlock of how communities are ‘stronger and better together’.

The Trust is currently going through an extraordinary period of growth, with more secondary schools and primary schools set to join later this academic year.

The Trust, together with the senior leaders of each school, have a proven track record of school improvement with The Academy of St Nicholas being judged as ‘Good’ by Ofsted in January 2023.

CEO of All Saints Multi Academy Trust, Miss Heather Duggan, said: 'We are very pleased to welcome St Margaret’s Church of England Academy into the Trust. Our shared vision of providing an excellent, faith-based education positions us for success.'

Miss Duggan added: 'We look forward to working closely with St Margaret's leadership team and its community to help students reach their full potential.'

All Saints Multi Academy Trust is a unique joint denomination multi academy trust in the City of Liverpool, located in Kensington.

The Academy of St Francis of Assisi, The Academy of St Nicholas, All Saints Sixth Form College, Faith Primary Academy and now St Margaret’s Church of England Academy are members of the trust.
