As The Royal Albert Dock Charitable Foundation Is Celebrating Its 10th Birthday, They Are Also Raising Funds Through A Charity 20-Prize Raffle For Their Young People's Career Walking Tours

The Royal Albert Dock Liverpool Charitable Foundation is celebrating their 10th Birthday. In celebrating this huge milestone achievement, they are also raising community funding through a Raffle, which will be drawn in the New Year, to help ensure that they can continue to support Young People into 2025 and beyond with their Career Walking Tours, particularly supporting those who have faced disadvantages.


You can purchase Raffle Tickets, which are £2 per entry, for the Royal Albert Dock Liverpool Charitable Foundation (RADLCF), through their Square Link. The range of 20 fantastic prizes are listed further down in this article.


All proceeds go towards their Careers Walking Tour Project that brings young people to the Albert Dock for an immersive careers and history-based tour. They particularly want to support disadvantaged students who this opportunity will benefit the most, aiming to include as many disadvantaged students as possible so they can benefit free of charge through the Charity's work.


Qualified Liverpool City Region Green Badge Tour Guide, Charley Martin, conducts the Career Walking Tours for young people. Blending a deeper understanding of the history and culture regarding the Royal Albert Dock Liverpool, combined with direct engagement with local employers on the Dock, often involving interactive activities and talks to support potential career opportunities for those young people.


Jess Brandwood, Charity Operations Manager for The Royal Albert Dock Liverpool, said: "It's really great to see students engage with their local history and culture in a practical way whilst also proactively discovering careers that they may not have previously known about or considered."

Dock businesses that assist the Charity's work, supporting the Career Tours with activities and talks include: the restaurants Revolución de Cuba and Gusto, hotel Holiday Inn Express, IT and business consulting company CGI, confectioners Roly's Fudge, and gift shop The Nest, to name a few.


In 2025 the Albert Dock Charity aims to carry out 20 tours for young people in the Liverpool City Region, helping them with their careers education, employability skills and well-being.

A variety of ways that the Charity empowers young people, in addition to their Career Walking Tours, includes: STEM Days, Interview Skills Workshops, and opportunities for Trainines to get hands-on experience at the Charity to develop their interpersonal skills and develop their confidence in the various roles they are given. Furthermore, they engage with and collaborate with local businesses, offer Drop-In Sessions and Mock Interviews with Professionals. Additionally, giving tips and support in building CVs, Cover Letters, and Applications.


Caitlin Cotton, Project Coordinator for The Royal Albert Dock Liverpool, said: "Our work is about more than careers education; it’s about creating opportunities, fostering connections, and building a stronger, more inclusive community."

Royal Albert Dock Charitable Foundation's 10th Birthday

On Wednesday the 16th of October, the Charity celebrated their 10th Anniversary since it was incorporated. The team decided to say thank you to Royal Albert Dock Tenants for their support over the years with Jelly Bean Gift Bags. The sweet treats were kindly sponsored by the Holiday Inn Express Albert Dock.


All proceeds from the Raffle go towards the Charity's Career Walking Tour Project which brings young people to the Albert Dock for an immersive careers and history-based tour. RADLCF particularly want to support disadvantaged students who this opportunity will benefit the most.
