Making you feel a whirlwind of emotions as you watch the explosive scenes unfold before your eyes. It is a must see play. I often find that the theatre is an educational experience that offers a wealth of knowledge, perspectives and an insight into people and their decisions which is told in an impactful way, and 'TRANSISTOR' delivers on that in every aspect.

Exploring a wealth of topics in a sesnitive and captivating manner; from family dynamics, sibling relationships, sexuality, raising children and what decisions would be best for them, illness and doing what is in their best interest and their wishes which may be in stark contrast to what you wish for them. It was heart-breaking, funny, and delivered in an engaging way that kept me gripped right through until the final curtain.

Even though the play has finished, I want to know more about the characters; their wit and wisdom, and varying points of views on numerous topics that span multiple generations. All of which have such depth that their reactions and behaviour may be dramatically more complex that you could have originally imagined.

The execution of the production vividly brough these characters to life with a solid cast of talented actors. The cast know what makes these characters tick, the delivery of their lines and the way the characters to and fro, aggressivly yet simultaneously lovingly bouncing off each other's energy in a poignant and moving situationin which emotions are raw and running high.

The set design was particularly of note, it was set up in a way that the audience felt involved. I genuinelty felt that I was taking a peek into the living room and observing the lives of a group of lovable characters struggling with an impossibly difficult situation. A situation you will slowly uncover as the play develops, and the production does a stellar job of conveying the intrinsic struggles that the characters are facing.

The cast of the play, 'TRANSISTOR', comprises of Judy Mandel who plays Vivian Isaacs, Melinda Phillips who plays Vivian's partner, Maggie.
