The Merchants Release 'Daughter Of Darkness' Single
The Merchants have today released their latest single, 'Daughter of Darkness'. The single offers the band's distinct upbeat indie sound, eloquent lyrics, and lead singer Harry Bowness' addictive vocals.
Simultaneously released with Daughter of Darkness is 'Numb', an emotive and thought-provoking song that again demonstrates the band's songwriting skills, beautiful instrumental performance and again Harry's passionate vocals.
Numb, offers a slower paced approach to the music the band have previously released with the likes of the fast-paced and energising 'Roots Hold The Trees', the movement-inducing 'Hostile' and leg-bouncing 'Glum Struck Fool'.
Though this is not the first time that The Merchants have shown their more evocative side, with their moving single, 'Together Alone', that provokes a daydream-like scenario where you can relax and think of someone important in your life.
The single cover art is consistent with the band's previous vintage aesthetic that would perfectly suit being seen as a row of vinyls in a bedroom.
Both Daughter of Darkness and Numb are fantastic additions to the group's catalogue of music that show exactly why the Liverpool City Region is the place to be for a fantastic music scene.
You can listen to Daughter of Darkness and Numb by The Merchants on Spotify and on Apple Music. Make sure to also follow what the band are up to on Instagram and Twitter, as well as buy tickets to their headline gig at EBGBS on Saturday the 18th of September at 7:30pm on Seel Street in Liverpool City Centre.
