Liverpool's Biggest Free Children's Chirstmas Party Returns Through Derry Mathews CIC In Liverpool City Centre
The team at Derry Mathews Academy CIC are set to return with the City Region’s largest free children’s Christmas party this December.
Derry Mathews CIC is hosting their now annual Family Christmas party, accommodating for more than 500 children from across the Liverpool City Region. This year's return will mark the third year that the event has took place.
The event will take place on the 15th of December 2024 in the Adelphi Hotel on Ranelagh Street in Liverpool City Centre. This year, due a to huge increase in numbers, the Christmas celebrations will take place in the Banqueting Suite, which is the hotels largest space.
Last year's event was attended by nearly 350 children. Every child in attendance last year received a toy from Father Christmas in the Christmas Grotto, a selection box, as well as food and soft drink.
The day also included a live pantomime, music, a christmas choir, fun and games and much more – providing a memorable day for all the children that attend. The team have planned that this year will be even bigger and better, with some additional surprises planned.
“Over 500 places were allocated this year in just over one hour! The team is working very hard behind the scenes making sure this year’s event is as good, if not better, than last years." - Hayley Smitton, Events Manager at Derry Mathews Academy CIC.
The local team behind the event includes ex-professional boxer, Derry Mathews, and Stephen Edgerton, who are both Directors of Derry Mathews Academy CIC. Hayley Smitton is the Events Manager at Derry Mathews Academy CIC, as well as Mitchell Walsh, Director of Integritas Property Group, who funded last year's event as well as funding this years.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank our sponsor Mitchell Walsh and his Integritas Property Group who have made this possible by paying for the day from kids toys to all the food and supplies.”
Stephen Edgerton, one of the Directors of Derry Mathews Academy CIC, said: “Liverpool is one of those special cities where we all like to come together and there isn’t a better time to come together and provide some joy than at Christmas time."
