Liverpool Sound City Offers Fantastic New Opportunity For Ages 16-24 With The Goal Of Guiding Young People Through The Liverpool City Region’s Key Cultural Histories
This Saturday, there will be an exclusive free tour of Liverpool's British Music Experience with ex-NME journalist and Head of UNESCO City of Music Liverpool, Kevin McManus as part of a fantastic new course by Sound City for ages 16-24.
This comprises as part of Sound City's wider 'Hidden Music Histories' course. Liverpool Sound City, the staple of the Liverpool City Region Music Scene is aiming to enable as many young people as possible to attend the free sessions.
Sound City’s new free 14-week ‘Hidden Music Histories’ Programme, which starts this Saturday the 14th of January, guides attendees through the Liverpool City Region’s key cultural histories through exclusive tours around famous local venues and iconic recording studios.
The Programme also intends on providing insightful discussions with their expert Guest Tutors including Andy McCluskey of OMD (Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark), Beatles expert Dr. Holly Tessler and the Music Director of LIMF, Yaw Owusu.
Week 1, Includes:
14th of January - Overview of Liverpool Music Heritage - British Music Experience.
Guest Speaker: Kevin McManus, Former NME Journalist & Head of UNESCO City of Music Liverpool.
