Liverpool City Region's Merseyside Police Horse Mounts, Owen and Oxberry, were having a great time out and about in town today.

The duo were seen enjoying all of the attention from the passers-by on Lord Street in the heart of Liverpool City Centre's Shopping Quarter.

Members of the public gathered to take it in turns to give the Police Mounts a stroke with the Merseyside Police Mounted Unit describing Owen and Oxberry as a 'new power couple' during their patrol of the City Centre.
