The Liverpool City Region has again proven that it’s the party capital of the North West, retaining its spot atop the Top 10 List from data by one of the leading Stag and Hen Party organisers in the country.

New data has shown that stag and hen parties are flocking to Liverpool in large numbers – choosing to party in Liverpool as opposed to our neighbours along the M62 as well as instead of the UK Capital.

Liverpool is the most popular city in Europe for Hens, according to the UK’s leading Stag and Hen organisers, Last Night of Freedom.

"We have seen a recent trend where more and more Stags and Hens remain in the UK" - Matt Mavir, Managing Director for Last

The firm has released its definitive list of the most popular destinations of 2023 – with the Liverpool City Region also being a hit with the Stags, too.

Managing Director for Last Night of Freedom, Matt Mavir, explained the City’s unique character and reputation for fun continues to pull in the punters. He said: "Liverpool has a one-of-a-kind atmosphere and has retained a sense of individuality".

Matt added: "And let’s be honest, it’s just a great night out. It’s always been among our most popular cities for men and women looking to enjoy their Last Night of Freedom and I can’t see that changing any time soon."

He said: "We have seen a recent trend where more and more Stags and Hens remain in the UK – many of our customers are going green and are turned off by the carbon cost of travel, while lots have rediscovered their love of the UK during the Covid lockdowns."

Matt, said: "That’s fantastic for our customers who get to try a new experience in the UK, and a real shot in the arm for the tourism and hospitality industries in places like Liverpool."

Hens enjoying Liverpool’s nightlife scene have picked out heritage and music around Matthew Street and The Cavern Quarter, upmarket bars around Albert Dock and the anything-goes party spots in Concert Square.

Various activities that they get up to when visiting Liverpool include a trip to an American-style professional wrestling school, silent disco dancing around the streets of the City and traditional favourites like Footgolf, rifle shooting and karting are also favourites for both stags and hens.

Liverpool is the third most popular destination for Stag Parties, which this year was topped by the Spanish city of Benidorm for the very first time, knocking Newcastle into second place.
