Liverpool Author, Kevin Cowdall, Continues To Craft Beautifully Tender Observations Of The World Around Us
Kevin Cowdall is a local Liverpudlian author that has penned many pieces of poetic works, of which he has produced a number of books to collate his creative endeavours.
Kevin Cowdall was born in Liverpool, where he still lives and works to this day. In all, over 200 of Kevin’s poems have been published in journals, magazines, anthologies, and on websites.
They have been circulated across the globe, including in the UK and Ireland, across Europe, Australia, Hong Kong, India, Canada, and the USA, and broadcast on BBC Radio and RTÉ Radio in Ireland.
Busy producing a variety of evocative literary works, his sincere publications have been praised by many from across the Liverpool City Region and wider industry around the world. Some of Kevin Cowdall's poems that are worth exploring include 'The Scampering Squirrel', 'Chaffinch', and 'The Settling Snow'.
With varying subjects, his delicate and majestic observations of life, both in terms of Liverpool as well as the broader world, offer a soothing sense of comfort. Placing ourselves and the world around us, into a beautiful context of living.
His 2016 retrospective collection, 'Assorted Bric-à-brac', brought together the best from three previous collections: The Reflective Image, Monochrome Leaves, and A Walk in the Park, alongside a selection of newer poems to complement his existing works.

His most recent collection, 'Natural Inclinations', features fifty poems with a common theme of the natural world.
His poem for children, 'The Land of Dreams', was published on the Letterpress Project website, wonderfully illustrated by Chris Riddell, and is available to watch on YouTube.
Kevin is also the author of a novella, 'Paper Gods and Iron Men', which centres around desert survival during the Second World War.
He has authored two novels, 'The Ghost in the Room' which is a contemporary crime thriller, as well as 'Cosgrove’s Sketches' which tells the story of an Edwardian Liverpool artist.
Additionally, Kevin has published a short story collection, 'The Ophelia Garden', and a play, 'Sometimes...'
Kevin has also recently had one of his latest poems, 'The Prophetic Seagull', published in The Liverpudlian, which is relatable to many across the Liverpool Bay Area.
