Liverpool won their first game of the season against Leeds United on Saturday 21st September 2020, landing them their first 3 points of the 2020/21 Premier League Season.

Highlights From The Opening LFC Premier League Match
Four minutes in, Salah scored his first goal with a penalty shot. Shortly after Salah's goal, Jack Harrison equalised for Leeds scoring twelve minutes in. Virgil van Dijk then pulled LFC into the lead with a goal twenty minutes in. Thirty minutes in Patrick Bamford scored which clawed back Leeds to 2-2. Salah three minutes later then scored bringing the 2019/20 Champions back to the front.
After half-time had finished and the game had once again commenced, the action built up and Leeds pulled back yet another equaliser from Leeds' Mateusz Klich in the sixty-sixth minute. On the eighty-eighth minute Salah scores his hat-trick with a penalty, clutching the lead for Liverpool and finishing an action packed game 4-3.
Klopp's Reaction To The Match
Klopp was visibly pleased with the result of the game when talking to LFCTV after the match. He was delighted with the performance the team put into the match, especially after not playing against a Premier League opponent for quite some time. Here are some of the things that the Boss had to say:
'We have the three points and played really good football. In possession, I liked our game a lot.'
'The performance was incredible.'
'Offensively they were all good, defensively, we can improve.'
'The goals were because of the performance.'
When asked about Mo Salah's now fifty goals at Anfield Klopp could not hide his delight, beaming at the reporter with pride and chuckling with dismay at the feat. Agreeing with the reporter applauding Salah and his achievement, Klopp replied with glee 'yeah it's incredible, that's true.' Klopp and The Reds will return to face Chelsea on Sunday 20th September 2020, at Stamford Bridge Stadium at 4:30pm.
