Bellway Provided Another Christmas Gift To Greasby Children In The Borough Of Wirral With A Donation To The Festive 'Light Up Greasby' Event To Enable The Community To Come Together

Award-winning housebuilder Bellway has kicked started Christmas preparations and celebrations in The Wirral, providing a series of bauble painting sessions for children in Greasby.

It is the first time the village has hosted bauble painting sessions, which were attended by over 140 local children and their families and took place in Greasby Community Centre.

Bellway made a monetary donation of £350 to Light Up Greasby to cover all costs of the events, including hire of the community centre, as well as purchasing the baubles and paints.

Volunteers from Light Up Greasby managed the project, with over £1000 raised. After the event, the children hung their decorative baubles on the trees outside Greasby Community Centre.

Greasby Village is renowned for its vibrant community, of which Bellway is very much a part, due to the close proximity of its Arrowe Brook Park development. Bellway supported Light Up Greasby last year with a monetary donation to help purchase new Christmas lights, making their festive display bigger and better.

Bellway loved the idea of children bauble painting, with Sales Director, Jenny Bell, commenting: 'We worked with Light up Greasby last Christmas supporting their fundraising initiatives. When they mentioned the bauble painting events we jumped at the chance to be involved; it’s great that the children enjoyed getting together to paint their own baubles ready for Christmas!'

Nicki Farrington, from Light up Greasby, adds: 'After a successful first year, we’re excited to be partnering with Bellway again to make Christmas in Greasby bigger and better. We’re thrilled with their donation and the events were a huge success, with everyone having a fab time!'
