Since its relaunch in 2023, The Tavern Co on Smithdown Road has proved its ‘infamous’ status. This Mexican-themed stalwart of the city’s restaurant scene is a huge hit with breakfast, brunch and dinner fans, with its relaxed vibe perfect for casual meals and get-togethers.

With a reputation stretching back over three decades, this newly-refurbished version has received glowing five-star online reviews, praising The Tavern Co’s tasty menu, friendly staff and convivial atmosphere.

Guests have shown up to enjoy the traditional Mexican-themed delights that this busy restaurant has become known for, alongside hearty breakfasts and brunches. Also they have been able to drink with live music on as well as on-screen sporting events. With a packed programme coming for Summer 2024 to look forward to, including the Euros, it will be a place to be.

The team behind The Tavern Co are mindful that guests will have so much planned for these coming warmer months, and want to make eating out an affordable treat, with the emphasis placed on the quality that this establishment is so proud of.

With brilliant value in mind The Tavern Co Fixed Priced Menu is back! Available from 3pm until 9:30pm Sunday to Thursday, diners can choose between two courses for £19.95 or three courses for £22.95, including vegan options and sumptuous desserts. With starters including Potato Skins and Garlic Bread and main courses such as Texas Chilli and Baby Back Ribs, the menu offers extensive choices including vegan dishes.

As half-term is also upon us, kids can eat for free between 27th May to 2nd June 2024, between 3pm to 7pm. Busy families can enjoy gorgeous dishes whilst ensuring their children can join in the fun, offering a superb treat which is a welcome one for household budgets.

Lewis Gibbons, General Manager of The Tavern Co, explains: 'Since our relaunch, we have been delighted that we have received so much support, with packed tables and returning customers. We always have the best value in mind and put our clientele at the centre of all that we do here.'

He added: 'Now that summer really is on its way, we wanted to repay that loyalty, as well as welcoming new guests, by bringing back our famous Fixed Price Menu at The Tavern! At just £19.95 for 2 courses and £22.95 for three courses, from Sunday to Thursday, those in search of our delicious signature dishes can indulge in style, and with even greater value in mind.'

Lewis, said: 'Clients can enjoy a full range of starters including our delectable BBQ Ribs and Halloumi Fingers, and main courses such as our famous Enchiladas and Chilli Tacos, adding in our indulgent desserts of the day. We are always happy to offer vegan options, too.'

He said: 'Our 2 for £10 cocktail offer has been so popular we decided to make it a permanent fixture, too. Now that the sun is shining you can sip on a Pina Colada, Aperol Spritz or classic French Martini, to name but a few of the options on our extensive drinks menu.'
