Local Band, The Merchants, Talk About Their Latest Single 'Daughter of Darkness', Performing Live At FestEVOL, And Headlining At EBGBS!

Three members of the local four-piece band, The Merchants, chatted to me not long after their live performance at FestEVOL.

You can listen to the full interview with Harry Bowness (Lead Singer & Rhythm Guitarist), Harry Strachan (Drummer) and Ernesto Sandoval (Lead Guitarist) through the video at the top of the page.

The reception we've got today has been top notch. It seems like everyone's enjoyed us, so, you can't ask for more d'ya know what I mean? All's we can do is give 100% on stage and I hope that that comes across.' - Harry Strachan, The Merchants.

Having played at the Live Sessions in the M&S Bank Arena, to their upcoming headliner gig at EBGBS (the fantastic underground club right underneath Heebie Jeebies) in the City Centre.

Not to mention having played live at the first leg of FestEVOL in the brilliantly independent Future Yard. The band then played live again at the third and final leg in the City Region - at the industrialised Invisible Wind Factory alongside a variety of other talented locals.

The Merchants and making quite a name for themselves across the Liverpool City Region. Originating in the City's Borough of Wirral, the band have been gradually gaining a following across the sprawling metropolis and it is clear to see why.

The lads are so down to earth and welcoming. With their warm personalities and passion for what they do shining through both on and off stage.

Their collection of songs prove again and again The Merchants' songwriting abilities, the strength of their vocals and instrumentals, all of which, blend together brilliantly.

From their latest single - 'Daughter of Darkness' - to other classic songs such as 'Glum Struck Fool' which is accompanied by a fantastic music video, and the energising 'Roots Hold The Trees'.

'Revo's obviously seen there's something in us to put us on today' - Harry Strachan, The Merchants.

The Merchants will be performing a headline gig at EBGBS on Saturday the 18th of September at 7:30pm on Seel Street in Liverpool City Centre. You can buy your tickets now to ensure you get to see them live!

Make sure to also follow what the band are up to on Instagram and Twitter. You can listen to their latest single 'Daughter of Darkness' by The Merchants on Spotify and on Apple Music.
