Slower is an amalgamation of deep-rooted passion for making music. Comprising of a collective of 4 talented musicians: Milan Reid, Joe Murdoch, Alex Cain and Peter Fagan.

There is lyrical weight to Slower's songs, this is complemented beautifully by a stunning coalescence of instrumentals. Producing songs that can be listened to on loop or blended into one of your favourite playlists. Each listen you will notice something new or enjoy a deeper understanding of the song and its message.

Their music is soaked in loving devotion for their craft and driven with a desire to make the best music they possibly can, with lyrics that can relate to most people's everyday lives and the sheer range of emotions that we can feel.

The Liverpudlian quartet has Milan as the Lead Singer and on Guitar, Peter is on the Bass, Joe plays the Guitar, Synth, and most importantly the Shakers, and Alex is on the Drums.

Bouncing off one another in an energetic way as you can hear in the interview, Slower have great chemistry and they are clearly fans of each other's individual work — frequently complimenting each other's abilities and genuinely meaning it too.

I spoke to the band at Bookshop Studios in Bootle, in which we chatted for just shy of 30 minutes about the great things that they are up to. From gigging around Liverpool as well as further afield, recording their first two singles, as well as how they work together as a band and what they find inspires them with their songs.
