Blockbuster PlayStation 4 Exclusive Video Game, Horizon: Zero Dawn, Featured Liverpool Land Mark On A Promotional Poster
The hugely popular PlayStation Original, Horizon: Zero Dawn, which was released on 28th February 2017, featured various iconic locations across the UK.
The video game selected Liverpool as one of only several locations to be selected as places to be re-imagined into the post-apocalyptic world of Horizon: Zero Dawn.
The poster used to promote the video game in the UK was part of a series of posters to get British audiences excited for the release of the game and the City was picked alongside only a select number of various major cities in the UK including London, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Newcastle, Manchester and Cardiff.
The Pier Head gained a full reworking and was beautifully turned into a scene as if it were concept art for an area in the game.
An additional building has been added in front of The Royal Liver Building that does not exist, and The Pier Head is now covered in hills of grass as if the apocalypse terraformed the landscape.
The game is set more than 1,000 years into the future and therefore an accurate representation of how the The Waterfront District currently looks is not entirely essential.
The RLB is covered in cracks, scratches, moss and overgrowing trees and shrubbery, with the majority of the windows smashed and beams having fallen off the iconic structure.
The main character from the game, Aloy, can be seen fending off robotic enemies including a Sawtooth and several Watchers in front of the World Heritage Site.
The game itself is set in Colorado in the United States and focuses on a world in which nature has retaken earth after an apocalyptic war wiped out civilisation.

The Liverpudlian Developed Manchester Skyscraper, Beetham Tower, Also Featured In The Promotional Posters
A second point worth noting is that Beetham Tower, Manchester, also known as Hilton Manchester was developed by the Liverpudlian property company, The Beetham Organization, that was founded in 1985.
Hence the familiar name as in Liverpool, there are a number of properties named after the local company including the 10-storey Beetham Plaza on The Strand, and two Beetham towers: The 29-storey 'Beetham Tower, Liverpool' and the current tallest building in Liverpool at 40-storeys is 'West Tower', also referred to as 'Beetham Tower West'.
The company's Manchester development was the focal point of the Manchester poster for Horizon: Zero Dawn.
