Cal Ruddy

Cal Ruddy is an award-winning and multi award-nominated Rockabilly and Americana influenced Singer/Songwriter based in the New Brighton suburbs of the Liverpool City Region's Borough of Wirral. Often considered as one of the most exciting singer-songwriters on the rise in the Liverpool Music Scene, having been featured on Radio City and BBC Introducing Merseyside, alongside television appearances through ITV Granada Reports and Channel 5.

Cal has certainly made his mark in his career so far, playing shows across the Merseyside area and beyond over the past 10+ years and has built up a following of loyal supporters.

He has used his life experiences with Autism, Anxiety and Depression to inspire others, having raised money and awareness for Wirral CAMHs, Autism Together and various other charities and causes over the years. His debut album, 'Elliston Place', was released in 2020 and is available on all streaming platforms.

Helen Maw

Hailing from Liverpool, Helen Maw is a singer songwriter and multi instrumentalist. Combining heartfelt and emotive lyrics with catchy melodies, she has established her own brand of music.

Through her songwriting, Helen Maw looks to connect with her audiences, writing often about experiences we all have to go through. Her music speaks of love, life and growing up. Her debut album, Growing Pains, is out now.

Old Baby Mackerel

Old Baby Mackerel play high-energy, foot-stomping Bluegrass featuring some of the UK’s best Bluegrass musicians. Be prepared to be transported back in time to the early 20th century and across the Atlantic to North America where songs dramatised the small town fascination with locomotion, religion and the veneration of whisky and bootleg liquor. Gathered around a single condenser microphone in the true Bluegrass style, the sounds of banjo, guitar, mandolin, fiddle and double bass blend lightning-fast rhythm, virtuosic solos and evocative harmonies to get knees bouncing and elbows swinging.

In the last four years Old Baby Mackerel have been featured on three different BBC radio stations including 6 Music with Cerys Matthews, played Glastonbury Festival festival twice (2019 and 2022) and sold out venues across the UK.

Jon Keats

Jon has been a resident musician in The Cavern Club since 2008 and is also a Director of the company. Away from this he has been writing and recording his original material for the last few years.

He released his debut album, “Any Man Would Do The Same”, in 2023 and is working on the follow-up, to be released later this year. Jon started recording the second album on a recent visit to Memphis and Nashville and it will be completed in a barn in Lancashire, such is showbiz!

Jon’s songwriting is very much in the Americana bracket, drawing influence from many genres but firmly rooted in folk and country. His music has taken him to many countries, performing in the US many times as well as shows in Brazil, Argentina, Japan, Canada and throughout Europe. For this show, Jon will be playing as a trio, having recently teamed up with the duo, The Vincent Brothers.
