West Tower is an iconic mixed use skyscraper in The Commercial District of Liverpool City Centre. It stretches 40 storeys high and is equivalent to 459 feet, or 140 metres.
Due to it's streamlined design, it has also been nicknamed 'The Bullet' by locals. It cost £35,000,000 and started construction in 2005, with the building being completed in 2008, making West Tower the tallest building in the Liverpool City Region which it still currently is to this day. The architects for West Tower were Aedas, the contractor being Carillion, and the developer being the local Beetham Organisation. It houses residential apartments, the restaurant Panoramic, which is located on the 34th storey (the floor with the glowing neon lights), as well as hosting office space and being the headquarters for the Beetham Organisation.
