Accounts and Legal, who specialising in accounting and legal services has expanded its team as it welcomes four new hires to its Liverpool Office.

Accounts and Legal will double its presence in Liverpool, with Libby McCarthy joining as Assistant Manager, Lauren Brierley as Senior Accountant, and Lucy Whittaker and Charlie Deakin as Accountants.

The new hires come as Accounts and Legal look to further extend the firm’s reach across the North West, tapping into the abundance of fast-growing SMEs in the region.

Over the last year, Accounts and Legal’s Liverpool Office has increased turnover by 59%, and across the four offices the firm has made 11 new hires. The Liverpool office is based at the Tea Factory on Wood Street, Liverpool, and is headed up by Georgina Sudderick, Head of Liverpool.

'We’re all super proud of what’s been achieved in Liverpool. It’s nice that we can continue to build the team, keep creating jobs and most importantly keep making a difference to the lives of business owners'. - Stuart Hurst, Managing Director at Accounts and Legal.

Established in 2013, Accounts and Legal has continued to expand following the opening of a London office, and the firm now has sites in Brighton, Manchester and Liverpool.

Stuart Hurst, Managing Director at Accounts and Legal, said: 'We’re all super proud of what’s been achieved in Liverpool. It’s nice that we can continue to build the team, keep creating jobs and most importantly keep making a difference to the lives of business owners'.

Originally founded by entrepreneur Neil Nichols in 2015, Accounts and Legal provide accountancy, tax, corporate finance and legal services under one roof to ambitious SMEs and sole traders across the UK.

With a background in private equity and a range of entrepreneurial projects, Neil set out on a mission to make accountancy more useful for entrepreneurs after feeling let down by high street accountants.

'When I started there were just two of us in the office, and to now have the total at eight makes me so proud.' - Georgina Sudderick, Accounts and Legal's Head of Liverpool.

With a focus on business plans and real-time data, Accounts and Legal was set up to give entrepreneurs the tools to look forward rather than back, ultimately making the role of the accountant more valuable.

The company’s Head of Liverpool, Georgina Sudderick, said: 'When I started there were just two of us in the office, and to now have the total at eight makes me so proud.'

Georgina added: 'The new arrivals have already been a brilliant addition to the team and we know they’re going to smash it.'
